This year, THE WOMAN'S CLUB, named a Santa Fe Living Treasure in 2003, is celebrating their 130th ANNIVERSARY.
Founded in 1892 by nine women who formed a Benevolent Association to make civic improvements and establish a library, they were joined by hundreds of women over the years to tackle much needed community projects to make Santa Fe special and meet the needs of the community. One of these needs was the maintenance for 30 years of the FAIRVIEW CEMETERY.
THURSDAY, JULY 28, 7:00pm, PLEASE JOIN US FOR "FAIRVIEW TALES" WHICH TELLS THE STORIES OF THE LIVES OF THE "RESIDENTS" OF FAIRVIEW CEMETERY.
Featured in the presentation will be WPA (Works Progress Administration) editor Ina Cassidy, poet Alice Corbin Henderson, The Fifteen Club and others.
We look forward to sharing these ‘tales’ with you.
