Certified Enterprises is a leading Southern California recycler that handles paper products. We are seeking an individual that can become a sorter of recycled paper.
Skills:
• The position requires work both outdoors and in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. up to shoulder height
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, twist, climb and grasp with both hands throughout the workday. A position requires the employee to be on their feet a majority of the work day.
• Possesses a good work ethic, is punctual, dependable, and available to work overtime, or on weekends as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
After on the job training, understand the different materials brought in to the facility, take boxes of material and dump / sort into bins and sort materials according to type. Remove foreign items from material.
Ensure a safe work area utilizing the appropriate safety equipment for the environment, namely safety vest, gloves, protective eyewear and steel toe boots.
Physical Activities and Environment:
Bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, power grasping, pushing, pulling, reaching, and lifting (up to 40 lbs.) up to approximately 3 hours a day.
Standing, use of hands to grasp (either simple or power, with one or both hands), lifting (up to 25 lbs. and up to 2 feet high) consistently during each shift.
Heavy equipment and related noise are present.
Working at a height of up to 3 ft on a platform.
