Tight, jazzy, rock oriented group seeks horns, keys, vocalist

We are two drummers, bass, guitar and sax looking for more melodic instruments to add to the mix. Doesn’t matter what you play but ideally keys or a horn. Vocalist fine too! We are a tight group rhythmically with a few solid grooves and song forms, just getting things off the ground. Double drummers can lock in on the same beat or compliment each other with different polyrhythms. Bass is pocket heavy but can stretch out playing lead. Guitarist is psychedelic and can get chordal and atmospheric or heavy and riffy, a great improviser. Sax is strong melodically, a great harmonic compliment that can also play tight lines and move quick. We all come from the Portland underground rock / punk / weird and heavy scene but want to branch out and play more groove oriented, melodically complex and less abrasive music. Jazzy, proggy, etc. Big fans of electric era Miles Davis, David Axelrod, Soft Machine, Fela Kuti, Europe 72 era Grateful Dead, more recent Oh Sees, Snapped Ankles, etc. Shoot us a message if you think it will be a good fit or if you have any questions.
