Cat needing a new home

I am needing to find a new home for Sherman. I adopted him from the humane society in 2019, he was estimated to be about 2 years old at the time. He is neutered and chipped. I am moving to a new place and unable to take him. He is a very sweet cat. Essentially more of a dog temperament than cat. He primarily just wants attention and food, loves belly rubs. He has lived in a house with no pets, so I don't know how he would do with other animals. Similarly with young kids. He is pretty skittish with new people or with a group of people around. Ultimately he would probably be happiest with someone who is home most of the time, either perhaps retired or working from home. He would be content to lie on you the majority of the day. He will venture outside for brief periods, but he usually does not go very far. I have an automatic feeder that I will provide, as well as other basics such as litter box and the like. I would just like for him to find a good home where he will be happy.
