A goal-oriented “regular Joe” to join our fast-growing home services and repairs company. In this role, your primary function will be that of the typical handyman. You're the talent. The hands-on worker who leads the charge. Your secondary role is to sell your services and the company. When assigned to estimate appointments - you go in there and wow the customer with all the reasons they should go with us. This position also carries the potential to earn commission on any leads you bring in that complete the sales cycle and close, once the standard threshold is met. JOB DUTIES: • Be on time to all scheduled appointments set for you each and every day. • Conduct yourself professionally at every interaction where you represent the company you work for. • Be able to draft initial estimates using Microsoft Word or Google Docs, once all the project information needed is acquired, and then adjust those estimates into final invoices as each project requires. • Be able to keep track of your invoices, jobs and of collected payments. Travel to the customer's home to collect payment in person when needed. • Be able to have tough conversations with customers about the prices we charge and why we charge them. Help them understand the value we bring and the quality of the work they are getting, as opposed to selling them on the "lowest price in town". • Help to strategically build a solid customer base, preferably establishing repeat customers and an ongoing revenue stream. • Help to recruit, train, and motivate other technicians toward hitting specified job and project goals. • Lead by example, using the pricing structure provided, and close a high percentage of the leads that you or anyone else on the team may generate. • Strive to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction with all customer interactions. JOB SKILLS NEEDED: • 3-5 or more years experience working as a handyman, construction worker or general contractor. • Highly personable, with the ability to quickly build relationships and trust • Your own tools • Your own reliable method of transportation. • Experience and/or fluency working with Microsoft Word or Google Docs is a plus. • Being able to speak Spanish as a second language is another plus.
