After a 3 year hiatus, the Eric's Life White Attire Benefit Event RETURNS!! It's a pleasure to bring back one of Jacksonville's most memorable events considering how much the world has changed since our last gathering. This year will be monumental as funds will go directly to Eric's Life Inc. and be used to help at-risk youth through motivational programs and positive literature. The event will have a live performance by the speaker and spokenword artist "Storyteller Odd?Rod", a live band, and DJ Shotgun will take the night away!! Profits from this year will benefit Eric's Life Inc., a nonprofit organization that has given over $12k to numerous charities through fundraising events and great times. It has now been restructured to offer local schools motivational speeches and literature at no cost to the institutions. For over a decade, "Storyteller Odd?Rod" has spoken in over 800 cities at schools of all levels. His story of perseverance is one that connects with young minds and inspires them to make the right decisions about their lives. It's been working everywhere else but the hometown has yet to invest in it, so we will use the community to help the community. Tickets are nonrefundable. This is a fundraiser and we appreciate your donations. The community donated money for this speaking engagement at Ribault Senior High School. Through generous donations, I have been able to volunteer my time speaking with youth at Grand Park Educational Center for 8 weeks, Gateway Community Services, and inmates at Duval Juvenile Detention Center. The result? Grateful students who shared stories of overcoming their own traumas, students involved in a speech that allowed their responses to be heard about taboo topics, and a group of students uplifted to stay the course of their lives in a positive direction.
