Description
Interdependence - the dependence of two or more people or things on each other. In a world that is becoming increasingly connected, the illusion of separation is beginning to vanish. We are all dependent on each other - what I do effects everyone around me, including you. We are dependent on the work of our ancestors that have brought us to where we are today. And our children are dependent on what we do today and make of the world that we leave them. It is in this Spirit that we invite you to join us in this celebration of interdependence. No matter your culture, creed, or race, our ancestors have participated all over the world in the ancient ritual of coming together and connecting through music, dance and food. In the Beats We Trust Project’s mission is to recreate this ritual in a modern yet eclectic, Dallas-flavored way. This is not a performance but a co-creative experience open to everyone of all levels who want to participate where the energies flow between music, dance, and whatever’s on your Heart. You do not have to be a musician or dancer - simply open up and let yourself be moved by the Spirit of the beats. Bring your instruments, voices, bodies, feelings, thoughts, worries, words, hopes, desires, and burdens and throw it all into the ebb and flow of co-creation to be transmuted into experiential magick. Prepare to be unprepared for the energies seeking to move through you as we open our hearts to the alchemy of Communion. The rhythm of the beats carry the power of transformation. Alex Camara will be making a large pot of his famous charro beans - bring whatever food you would like for yourself and/or to share! 5pm - Doors Open @Sanctuary 6pm - Opening Ceremony and Djam led by Chelsee Elizabetta 8pm - Jamming moves Outside @Gazebo with Hoop Class led by Chelsee Elizabetta and Breaking Bread Together 9pm - Open to Fire Spinners to Perform to the Beats and Music In the Beats We Trust Project is seeking non-profit status with a vision to give back to the community and support local efforts.
