Modern Alternative Band Seeks Drummer
Meets
Menlo Park CA
Description
Hey CL Community, We're a newly established band coming out of the Peninsula area seeking a drummer to complete our three-piece. Music links available; please let us know if you are interested and we will send when you reach out! About us: We are a Vocalist/Guitarist/Synth (27) and a Bassist (28) who have been playing together since 2013; since that time, we have oscillated between Pop, Rock, and Alternative genres of music. Originally from Los Angeles, we have crafted and honed our sound and mutual interest in a variety of genres of music and have essentially spent our entire adult lives being involved in music with one another. Erick (Bassist) is an Audio Engineer/Radio Technology specialist out of Los Angeles, CA and is primarily influenced by Flea, Mark Hoppus, Larry Mullen Jr., John Deacon, and Chis Wolstenhome. Jesse (Vocalist/Guitarist) is a High School Teacher/Law Student out of Palo Alto, CA and is influenced by Johnny Stevens, Ian Francis, Kurt Cobain, and Elliott Smith and Kurt Cobain, Tony Iommi, Prince, Neal Schon, Slash, Kirk Hammett, and Randy Rhoads: vocals and guitar respectively. Also a huge fan of Wendy Carlos, Klaus Schulze, and Bernie Worrell from a synth perspective. We are open to all walks of life, political affiliations, spiritualities, religions, etc. About the project: In a nutshell, the project is a Modern Alt project: the songs we've been writing recently are similar to Highly Suspect, Arctic Monkeys, badflower, cleopatrick, Pale Waves, Dead Poet Society, Oliver Tree, Royal Blood, Muse, and Nirvana. In other words, the sound is high-energy riff rock with catchy hooks and precise instrumentation. We are looking to rehearse 2x a month with the goal of playing out 1x a month in the general CA area-- NorCal first, but then branching out to shows in the SoCal area. What we're looking for: Either a professional (paid) drummer or dedicated amateur with an excellent ear that can commit to our plan of 3 days a month as outlined above. Please have your own professional gear and transportation: or at least a snare and cymbals as we usually rehearse/play in places that provide a kit. Thanks for reading such a long post! We are looking forward to meeting all of you! -Jesse
