I took my great grandfather's 1863 civil war rifle with it's 12-inch bayonet to elementary school for show and tell. Nobody freaked out (including the teacher or principal), I was not arrested and sent to the county juvenile facility, and my parents were not visited by child protective services. Nobody got shot or stabbed.
