Our family has two great dogs, Rauli and Maddux, and we're looking for a new home for them. Due to our work, we spend over six months of the year out of the country and can't take the dogs with us. While our families have been great in helping in the past, it's getting tougher and tougher to piece together the dog sitting. We are looking at finding a welcoming family that would love to have the two together and give the dogs the consistent love and affection that we can't provide with our travel. Both are pure bred dogs, but the paperwork is long lost at this point. Rauli, the yellow lab, is 10 years old, and getting more and more mellow every day. She's a tough old bird who we imagine likes to reminisce on her glory days of chasing our ATV down the ranch's dirt road (she's much more likely to nap in the sun than chase anything these days, but is in good health). She's about 85 pounds. Maddux, the English Cream golden retriever, is 5 years old. She hasn't met a person she hasn't fallen in love with immediately, and loves to be pet. She can play fetch, but isn't obsessed with it, and wants to please. She's about 80 pounds. Both dogs are great with kids (they grew up on a boarding school campus and with our children, who are 5 and 3). Both are house trained, up to date on their shots, spayed, and get along great together and with other dogs. They require very little to be happy... they like to swim and go on walks (they both do well on a leash, perhaps with a little bit of pulling when enthusiastically sniffing in new areas). They both have always been in our family with a companion dog, so we'd hate to see them split up. Small rehoming fee ($25/each) to a great home. Shoot me a message to start the convo.
