Yes the word gets passed to the troops because that means they need to be ready to ramp up security. Hence why bases go into higher threatcon. So please oh smart one enlighten everyone with your words of wisdom since you know all about everything." National Security is a"need to know" basis. The Senate serves at the pleasure of the public, yes they are public. Military requires FBI security background checks before issuing promotion let alone clearances.
