Hello Animal Lovers! We are Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue located in Los Angeles. We need help in the High Desert! We are trying to assist more shelter dogs in the High Desert but we do not have volunteers in the area. Shelters in this area are very overcrowded and need help moving animals out to rescue. Transport help (advance notice and emergency standby/last minute): We need volunteers to help out with transporting dogs away from death row and into foster homes. Typically you would be giving a dog a freedom ride out of a high desert shelter to either a foster in the area, part way to Pacific Palisades, or all the way to Pacific Palisades. It is difficult for us to coordinate these transports due to distance and not having people in the local area. There are so many adoptable dogs missing their second chance. Can you help? Emergency volunteers are also NEEDED for last-minute help. It could mean saving a life! Do you have some days that you are completely free and want to be on-call as standby in the event of an animal emergency? Fosters: If you have experience and are comfortable with dogs (mainly large, but sometimes small), sign up to foster a loving dog from Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue! Being accepted into our foster program is an extremely rewarding experience - you get to help rehabilitate dogs that were left to die at the shelter, giving them a second chance to be adopted! We provide - a bed, food, treats, toys, a leash, and a collar. Some of these dogs have never slept on a bed, been in a home, or even had a ready-for-them meal. Thank you! Supply person: Would you be willing to donate or store supplies for rescues and fosters in the high desert (Beds, Leashes, Collars, Treats, Toys) Cook: Once we get some foster homes in the area we will need volunteer cooks. All of our rescued dogs have a special diet of homemade food! The recipes are simple and easy to make. You freeze the food and provide it as needed to fosters in the area. We need fosters!
