Hello, we are 2 girl looking for a male to have fun with us. In and out of the bedroom... Hello, we are looking for a lead guitarist for our band “No Fun”. Must be reliable, able to practice weekly and perform as often as possible. We are two guitars and drums. Think the cramps, and slaeter kinney. We also love many other bands but not limited to patti smith, Bikini Kill, The stooges, and Black Sabbath. Our themes are feminist and political. singer/musicians wanted to form a group to perform an eclectic mix of traditional Irish, American folk, country and Bluegrass music. Instruments needed are guitar, mandolin, fiddle and banjo. I play all of those and also the tin whistle myself except for the fiddle but I would prefer to play the mandolin or banjo in such a group. In any case, playing a musical instrument is an absolute requirement. The only instruments I'm interested in are guitar, banjo, mandolin or fiddle and possibly bass, NO, NO, NO percussion of any kind. A strong desire to play and rock solid reliability is an absolute necessity since I do have a few connections with local establishments in my neighborhood of Bay Ridge Brooklyn and would like to be able to deliver without any problems.Veteran singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist seeks talented and committed collaborators within an hour of Hudson, NY. Goals: write together and separately, have fun, play a few gigs, see where it leads. Heroes: Steve Earle, Mary Gauthier, Bill Monroe, John Hiatt, Beatles, Byrds and Stones. I sing and play acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin and a bit of dobro. I’ve put out two albums of original material, I take this stuff seriously, and it feels like time to get going again, maybe with some new friends. Pre-COVID I played 100+ gigs around the Hudson Valley with a shifting line-up of stellar players. I’m in recovery and have no desire to hang with drunks and dope smokers, so if that’s you please don’t respond.
