Welcome to Spike Out Hunger!! This tournament is hosted to help eliminate food insecurity in our local community. Once again we will be providing a "Thanksgiving in a Box" for local families that need a little help. We will be working with local schools to identify families that really could use a nice meal. With so much negativity in the world, this WILL help a family and create a memory! This was soo successful last year, we cannot wait to do it again! These boxes will contain all the fix-ins one would need to prepare a Thanksgiving dinner. Each box will include a gift card so the families can purchase a turkey and any other perishable items they will need. Tentative Schedule: 9:00am-9:30am Check In9:35am Opening Announcements9:45 am-11:45pm Pool Play11:45pm-12:15pm BREAK12:30pm-3pm Bracket Play3:15pm Closing Statements/ AwardsInformation: This tournament is 100% free of charge for all people. We are asking that you bring 10 canned food items suitable for Thanksgiving dinner - green beans, corn, boxed mashed potatoes, yams, sauerkraut, brownie mix, corn bread mix, mac and cheese, gravy, marshmellows, applesauce, cranberry, and stuffing. OR a $15 giftcard to local grocerystore for perishables. There will be donation boxes next to the check-in table. Even if you are not participating, come join the fun as there will be raffles and festivities surrounding the tournament! Please expect an email to be sent out regarding all information. Tournament Format We will start with pool play in which you will compete in games that will help determine your seed in the single elimination tournament. Awards: Both players of winning team will each win a $100 Amazon gift card. Players who invite spectators (they must check in) will be entered into a raffle for a free spikeball set with one entry corresponding to each additional spectator. Raffle awards for spectators. Spikeball sets are much needed. Anyone who brings one (yes we will take care of your set) will be entered into a raffle for a prize.
