It’s that time of year again! Our 7th annual Oopsies & Oldies Sale Event with us at Dirty South Pottery is coming up quickly, and we are excited to share some of our less-than-perfect pottery with y’all. For those of you who are new around here, simply put this is our only sale of the year. It’s the time that we clear out of cabinets & put steep discounts on pottery that, for one reason or another, is not up to our current standards. We make all of our pottery by hand, and it is natural for pieces to warp, crack, or have other imperfections that don’t meet our quality standards for our normal stock. Some of the issues are minor, some are more obvious, and some things are perfect but have just been sitting around for too long waiting to find a home. All of them will be discounted, and all of them are handmade! In the coming weeks, our team will be pulling out all of the pottery that did not pass our standard checks, cleaning them up & pricing them with deep discounts. On July 9th, our doors will open to the public for shopping these hidden gems, and we hope that they all find homes! What to expect: If you’re interested in coming to this event, you’ll need to sign up here for an assigned shopping time. This helps us eliminate long lines, and the overcrowding of our little store (we used to have 30+ people in at a time, with a line of 60 people waiting at the door when we open). If appointments aren’t your thing, you can shop the remaining pottery after 1pm without signing up. All flawed pottery will be clearly marked, and the issues pointed out on the price tag. We don’t want any confusion for our shoppers, and want you to leave happy with your haul! But please note that all sales are final on sale items. We will be limiting the number of shoppers to 12 at a time, shopping in 30 minute increments. These 30 minute increments will allow you to have time to shop our wares with less of a crowd, and you will be able to sign up for multiples if you want more time.
