The Book Stall (811 Elm Street in Winnetka) is thrilled to host a book release party on Tuesday, July 19 at 6:30 pm to celebrate Jessie Ann Foley's new novel, "Breda's Island," her first title for middle graders. Jessie will be in conversation with fellow author Jarrett Dapier. Don't miss this chance to see two of our favorite children's book authors talk about writing, publishing, and life! This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments for both children and adults will be served! His debut picture book "Jazz for Lunch!" received a starred review in Kirkus Reviews. His second picture book, "Mr. Watson’s Chickens" received a starred review in Publisher’s Weekly and was chosen by NPR and Bookpage as one of the best books of 2021. He lives in Evanston with his family and their many pets (including three chickens named Marilla, Helena, and Goldie).
