older female looking to see if anyone wants to hang out.... I am an experienced jazz drummer. I am proficient in most styles and feels including swing, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian and funk. I played about 150 gigs on drums last year. Equally proficient with jazz brushes or sticks. I went to Berklee College of music in Boston and have two degrees in music.I know how to read drum charts and real book charts and I am familiar with most of the jazz standards and other repertoire. I will not play too loudly, will not play too busy and will not get lost on the form. I have my own transportation, I don’t drink or smoke anything, I will come dressed in a suit or other appropriate attire, I will be early to the gig and not take up too much space on stage. Also, I will not offend the owner or staff at the venue or play my instrument in-between songs or during the set breaks. Livermore Wine Country Festival, Birdland Jazz Club, Sacramento Blues Festival, Lake Chalet, Beach Chalet, The Roc, Lou's Pier 47, Eli's Mile High Club, Lakeside Lounge, Mannheim Social Club, Everett and Jones and many private and corporate events. We are 40-50 something aged hard rockers with punk attitude band named FaceKicker. Influences are Stooges, Misfits, Dead Kennedy's, X, Agent Orange, and LA/OC Surf/Punk scene. We are two (bassist and guitarist and both sing) with a drum machine. We practice Sunday mornings at the Practice Place in San Jose and Gig out monthly at local bars in the South Bay. Easy going, no drugs, all about fun and the music. We have done four shows so far and want to kick up our live performance with a live drummer. We have both been in bands throughout the decades and mostly write our own material and do some covers.
