Daegan loves playing baseball and has played it for most of his life! He recently had his Bar Mitzvah and, for his Mitzvah project, he chose to use his love of the game to raise awareness and funds for individuals and families facing cancer. In Daegan's words, "I chose American Cancer Society because my grandfather had to battle cancer, and miraculously lived 4 more years due to care and medicine, so he got to spend the first 4 years of my life with me." Daegan is using his event to raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society and he hopes you will join him! Daegan's homerun derby will be held on August 14th from 2-4 at Dunwoody Senior Baseball. Anyone ages 10+ are invited to participate. There will be prizes awarded to the top hitters in each age group (ages 10-12, 13-15 and 16+). In the event of rain, the event will be rescheduled to August 21st from 2-4. All are welcome to watch the event. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Tickets are not needed if just watching, but donations are greatly appreciated to help Daegan reach his goal for American Cancer Society!
