For those in the Detroit area, there will be a Brunch to celebrate funds raised, as well as the wonderful woman Sandra Farney was. Come enjoy your Saturday with food, music, and friends by grabbing a ticket and joining me at Pronto on July 23rd, 2022. Like Memories…Legacies last a lifetime. I recently heard someone say, “If something makes you sad when it ends, it must have been pretty wonderful when it was happening”. As time goes by and I think about how it is approaching 4 years since losing my mom, I also think about all of the time and memories we shared over the 22 years before and they are exactly that-pretty wonderful. I am blessed to have been given something worth missing so strongly. While I can’t see her, talk to her or squeeze her tight, I know she is never far away. My mother always inspired me with her generosity and selflessness, even when times were tough. She continues to be with me everyday in all that I do, motivating me to follow in her footsteps of living a life for others. With that, I have accepted the challenge to raise funds for Stand Up to Cancer and their innovative cancer research programs which are working to discover new therapies, get them to patients quickly and ultimately save lives.
