Professional level guitarist/bassist with decent backing vocals looking for new project. It’s been a while since I’ve played bass in a project, so that idea is probably the most exciting at the moment, but I’m open to guitar as well. I’ve been a guitarist in bands ranging from instrumental acoustic guitar duo, ala Rodrigo Y Gabriella, to acoustic singer/songwriter, to rock, to metal. For bass it’s been rock and metal projects. I’m pretty easy going and easy to get along with. I fall in the "mature" category, though I look much younger. No drug or alcohol issues and would really like to be in a project where those are not issues, though I’m cool with 420 and drinking, just not to the point of interference with a project. I’ve been in label supported projects with international distribution and tour support throughout the US and Canada. Plenty of studio and live performance experience. I’ve got pro level guitar gear, acoustic/electric/amp etc. and a great sounding four string bass. Open to different styles, from instrumental jazz, to jam’ish stuff to vocal-driven projects, provided the vocals are of a certain caliber. Not particularly looking to build a project from scratch, though I’m open to hearing all opportunities. Potentially open to hired gun situations, though I’ve always worked best in projects where I have some creative input and can take a bit of ownership. I’m currently really digging the Black Pumas, Snarky Puppy, Lettuce, Chris Stapleton, Avett Bros. Sean Nelson’s New London Big Band, Umphrey’s McGee, QOTSA, AWOLNATION, Gary Clark Jr, Mogwai, Royal Blood, Jeff Buckley, etc. I’ve got video/audio examples available upon request and you should have the same.
