The 19th Century Industrial Revolution literally changed the Victorian World—and ours! Science and technology impacted every aspect of life and society. From 12n to 3pm on Saturday, July 16, guests visiting Jacksonville’s historic Beekman House Museum can learn about “19th Century New-Fangled Inventions” during 1-hour tours that begin every 20 minutes. Visitors will see and hear about the inventions and innovations that transformed daily life for Jacksonville and Southern Oregon residents in the late 1800s.
The Beekman House is located at 470 E. California Street in Jacksonville. “Newfangled Inventions” tours are $10 and tour groups are limited to eight people. Reservations are strongly encouraged; walk-ups will be accommodated based on space available. Tickets can be purchased at. Proceeds from all tours benefit historic restoration projects.
