Gemma needs a home

Description

I’ve had a handful of people say they want Miss Gemma and then sadly quit responding to me. So here I am again. Gemma is a 7 month Cane Corso. Let me note, Gemma is NOT aggressive, what so ever. But if you know the breed, she DOES need a firm CONSISTENT leader. I have been working daily with Miss Gemma. We are breaking some puppy behaviors. We are also working on socializing. Although she has good manners on a leash and out in public, she will need consistent outings at different places to ensure great social skills. Gemma is crate trained. Gemma is house broken as long as she’s taken out to go potty. Gemma has no aggression towards another animals. She does chase our outside cat, but does not harm her. She is fine with our male mastiff. She is a puppy and has energy so she should be in a home with larger dogs or make sure they are supervised. Gemma so far has not shown much interest in my children. My children understand to respect her. They don’t climb on her, grab her, invade her space, so she pays no mind to them, but at times she does run away or show signs of not wanting pets. She would do BEST in a home with older children or no children. OR someone who is willing to work on the training/slow acceptance of children. She does not show any aggression towards them, even will take treats from them gently and run after a ball they throw. Just lacks confidence around them. Gemma would benefit from training. Or someone who knows basics. She will take a few days to warm up, as she was terrified when I got her, but I am HOPING all the training I’ve been doing with her, the transition won’t be as rough. Gemma is an active girl and would love to be in an active home. If you’re interested in more details or giving her a home, please reach out.
