Description

Hi, I'm a vocalist with a soft, soothing voice (comparable to Skye Edwards or Dido or as a friend told me, Dolores O'Riordan). I have a lot of lyrics, and have been in a couple duos with someone who plays instruments (I don't) and knows how to put together my lyrics and vocals with their melody. Our freshman effort was called Svatantrya (cool songs, not so great production), and sophomore one was Karmic Elixir. The KE has been unpublished because I published it through Tunecore and it expired and I missed renewing. They require a new release I believe, before one can publish again. I have a mixer in the Seattle area that I would hire again in a heartbeat to finalize the songs. Some of my influences and most loved artists are (besides aforementioned) Sting, Prince, Sade, Massive Attack, Morcheeba, Maktub (from Seattle, no longer a band and frontlined by the great Reggie Watts), Vampire Weekend, ELO, One Republic (very eclectic...I listen to The Spectrum on Sirius XM constantly) and I am from Seattle so need not mention that I was raised on rock and roll and grunge...hello Queen and ACDC & Singles Soundtrack I love you...but my own stuff wants to be a variety: some dreamy, some dancy, some drama--where I like to emote about past relationships like Alanis. I danced to "Feeling for You" by Cassius in the club. :) I am of that era. But look younger than that, and love to dance and perform when I get past a bit of shyness. Your age doesn't matter. Your commitment to the project and staying power does. So what I'm seeking is someone who knows how to do cool sounds with machines and instruments, and for whom melodies come easily either before or after seeing lyrics. Someone who, if we mesh musically, won't flake or give up on the project. I'm offering my voice and words and am looking for a music partner because I don't want to "die with my music inside me" as the saying goes. I'm anti-drama, and pro getting shit done. And my deal is that we both work for free until something cool happens. I don't have $ but can save for studio if you don't happen to have one, and will pay for that and mixing when the time comes. Once in a while, my lyrical ideas come with a tune, but usually not so that would be part of what you'd do. Side note: I rarely get sick but have gotten sick three times this year (!wtf right? not Covid, no idea)...and it put me behind with someone I thought wanted to work together. That isn't happening now for their reasons and this is why I'm posting. Please be in touch if you're down to collab. Thanks for reading.
