Drivers/Workers Needed for Cycling Campsite Event

We're hiring for an event we have setting up tents/campsites for a cycling event. The event is in Iowa and is called RAGBRAI (www.ragbrai.com) and we provide transportation to Iowa on July 22nd and from Iowa on July 30th. Meals are provided along with a tent and air mattress for sleeping. We're looking for people who can drive a 26' box truck or drive a pickup truck pulling a trailer. No CDL required, a standard license is fine. Drivers will help drive vehicles to Iowa following the lead driver and will drive one to two hours each day when going from campsite to campsite. Once at the campsite, the work will be outdoors and we start by taking down tents, hauling luggage and breaking down the campsite each morning around 6 am, travel to the next town and then setup the campsite. Once camp is set you're mainly done for the day. This includes a fair amount of manual labor and you must be in good shape able to carry 50lbs, but is a great chance to travel and make some money. Our customers are friendly and great to deal with. If you enjoy meeting new people, traveling, camping and don't mind hard work this can be a fun gig. We're primarily looking for people who have driven a truck and trailer and are comfortable pulling a 18' to 26' trailer or are good driving a box truck. It's temporary work and if you do a good job and enjoy the first event you'll have an opportunity to work other events as we have them. Our event after this one is from August 5th to August 13th. Many of our workers come back each year and some take off from other jobs because they enjoy traveling and the work. We pay a flat rate for the event plus a share of the tips from customers. Our pay starts at $850 for people who can drive for the event plus tips which have ranged from $400 to $600 on recent events. We also provide meals during the event.
