Hi Am Original Prom Peru, am a personal mountain guide in the Amazon of Peru, while doing tours, I enjoy very much to help rural villages, I'd love to find people who are interesting share some time visiting rural places in the Amazon.. am living in Pittsfield Mass at this time.. but organizing a volunteers program from Oct 2022 until End of feb 2023... please e=mail for more info.. Becoming a part of a volunteer group can produce very strong friendships that last well even beyond this adventure. You’ll get to attend Spanish classes with native Peruvian teachers before your community service project. Moreover, you'll have the opportunity to attend school in a rural Amazon village with host families, experiencing local people’s lives. With this, you can use the Spanish language to communicate with others, order your own food in restaurants, negotiate with street merchants, and engage in conversations with native Peruvians. The adventure programs are designed for passionate travelers. Possible escapades available include: Hiking to Gocta Waterfall and Rural Villages Horseback Riding in the Mountains Camping Kayaking Biking Visiting the Ruins of Kuelap These are some of the options that you can enjoy while you are in that region of Peru. You’ll also get to savor homemade meals provided by the host! Horseback Riding VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS Share your knowledge with Peruvians from the rural area. Below are the programs that volunteers can take part in: Agriculture English Teaching at School Animal Welfare Arts and Crafts at School Cooking Environmental Protection Education Along with all of this, we also consider what the volunteers can offer. We are seeking positive, energetic, and outgoing volunteers of all ages who are interested in making a difference in the lives of rural Peruvians. The program includes education, computer technology, arts and crafts, building, and agriculture. The minimum stay is 2 weeks, but we are happy to discuss alternate scheduling options.
