Description
Portland-based, experienced mixer and engineer available. I'm a solo practitioner who's been mixing music for 20 years, both for my own projects, and for the work of others.
Typically I mix "rock" music and its sub-genres: metal, "pop", shoegaze, indie, etc., but at the end of the day I want to be your partner in providing you with a "radio-ready" mix so that we can showcase your work in the best possible way. My goal is to leave you completely satisfied with the completed product, and to have us continue our relationship as a result.
To do this, we'll have a consultation, virtually if you prefer, where we walk through your music and what you want to accomplish with the mixes. Then we'll agree on timelines and cost, and how we communicate revisions to the mixes as we progress through the process.
If this my first time working with you, I offer the mix of one song, with one revision, free of charge. This is helpful to establish our working relationship, and artists that I've worked with before are happy that our relationship started this way.
Otherwise, I typically charge $100 - $200 per song, with 3 mix revisions per song, $75 per song if I need to put a lot of time into pitch and/or time correction, and will also negotiate package deals for EP or album length material.
Almost everything I do is digital these days. I am able to work on your songs with Pro Tools, PreSonus StudioOne, and Logic Pro X. I accept WAV and AIFF files, and will provide you with mixes in the format of your choice -- along with a CD of the mixes, should that be your desire.
Sample mixes available on request. Looking forward to working with you!
