Description

Join Tualatin Riverkeepers as we paddle along the Tualatin River toward Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. We'll search for members of the rich community of resident birds as well as the travelers using the river as a migration corridor and rest stop. The autumn migration season stretches from mid-August to early December, with songbirds peaking in September and October. We’ll observe the many varieties of birds passing through our area, and learn about the stopping-off habitats that appeal to them on the way to their tropical wintering grounds. Get close to the resident great blue herons; we may even spot the more elusive green heron! No experience necessary. Space is limited and reservations are required. Personal flotation devices must be worn on paddle trips. TRK trips may be cancelled due to severe weather (lightning, flooding, ice etc.), but will often take place in the rain. Please dress accordingly. We request that you arrive 30 minutes early. Double kayaks can be rented for use on the trip for $50, single kayaks for $40. Please review the General Paddle Trip Information sheet before the paddle trip.  REVIEW IT HERE. And don't forget! Tualatin Riverkeepers Members receive a 20% discount on Guided Paddle Trips! Send an email to [email protected] for information about applying discount and promotional codes, and visit www.tualatinriverkeepers.org/get-involved for more information on how to become a member if you're not already.
