Description

There is so much information and advice swirling around from blogs, books, friends, parents and providers. Lots of this information that everyone is sharing can conflict with what you are seeing on those late night google searches. Our childbirth education classes are evidence- based and non-judgmental. We pride ourselves on making this a relaxed and fun experience. This class will help you weed through the information overload and receive the most up-to-date information so you can collaborate with your provider (and partner or support person) to create a meaningful and empowering birth experience. Navigating Childbirth You are in labor, now what? In this workshop we will focus on what happens once you get to the hospital or birthing center. You will learn about common medications available, hospital interventions, inductions, cesarean birth and prevention. This engaging class is designed to prepare expecting people (and partner or support person) for labor by providing a variety of options to help each family identify what approach might best support them. Videos and other visuals enhance the learning experience and the casual setting encourages questions and discussion so that everyone leaves feeling well-informed and confident. This is also an opportunity to meet local parents that are delivering near the same time as you! Our workshops can be taken at any point in pregnancy, but many choose to take the courses in the third trimester. Please plan ahead and book early, because classes fill-up quickly. Please plan to bring materials for note taking, water/beverages and snacks. A break will be offered.
