A feature documentary about the experiences of a troupe of 9 dancers and 3 poets from Boston as they toured from Jackson, MS, up the Great Black Migration Trail to Chicago. While performing an original piece about the multiple sides of racism, they interacted with diverse audiences and Civil Rights veterans whose stories are little known. Stop by stop up the Mississippi, they discovered the invisible truths about America's racial history but also their own and its powerful effects on their identities as artists and activists.
