Looking for a different kind of summer activity? We promise you’ve never tried this before... Bonfire Bookshop, led by publisher Zachary Bos, is thrilled to offer the community a series of 4 free summer workshops during the month of August at the Fitchburg Library. The workshops will focus on the theme of abolition, and, as a participant, you will learn about local heritage on abolitionism, emancipation, and social justice. You will also gain technical experience in publication production, and explore how and why publications have the power to either elevate and amplify or to suppress diverse voices. After learning more about Fitchburg’s abolitionist history, you will choose the stories that you want to tell, and publish those stories by the end of the workshops. Sign up today and join us!
