Who is this For: Who Should Attend The Perfect Storm ● Parents who have children who have received a diagnosis, such as ASD, ADHD, SPD ● Parents who are worried about their child's growth, development, mood, focus, sleep, eating, overall wellness and performance at home and school ● Family members who help care for children who are struggling Meet Barrett When we met Barrett, he was struggling emotionally with anxiety. It was very difficult to navigate for a 6 year old. Barrett struggled to express his emotions to those around him and began to hyperventilate when overwhelmed. Loud noises, especially trains, would cause him to completely shut down, cry cling to his parents and sometimes fall to the ground and begin to crawl away. With Barrett being diagnosed with SPD and an anxiety disorder, he was already doing occupational therapy, but his mom thought there was something deeper going on. Mom worried about what school was going to look like with these behaviors. Especially when Barrett started to gag and throw up randomly because of the anxiety. This is when she reached out Griess Chiropractic and finally felt heard. She felt that there was finally a SOLUTION! A few months into care, their family was at a park and a train went by. Mom waited for Barrett to hit the ground and for the anxiety to come and for the day to end… But it never did… Barrett didn’t even recognize that a train went by. It wasn’t until it was almost passed that he looked up and realized that it was there. He went running to his mom and said, MOM! Look I didn’t get scared by the train! They still can have difficult days, but Barrett now has the tools to communicate with those around him what he is feeling and the ability to calm his nervous system from the care he has received here at Griess Chiropractic. We are so excited to be able to watch this guy grow and adapt to this changing way of life. Is There Hope? We Think So!
