We are a blended family with two busy entrepreneur parents, living as neighbors on the same block, sharing children and some businesses. We are seeking a full-time Nanny Manager and Personal Assistant to assist with the general operation of our private residences, plus someone to oversee the care and logistics of our two shared middle-school children, ages 13 & 11 (and dog(s) at each home). Both children take the bus and/or walk to school. This person must be self-starter that is skilled at multi-tasking with executive function skills that include calendaring, long-term planning, and ability to pivot and redirect. The ideal candidate will be a good listener, emotionally mature with a strong ability to anticipate needs. We want someone to add value, and continually help us achieve our goals. Ideally, this candidate would make a long-term commitment and be willing to grow in the role and with our businesses and family. As the children grow older, the person in this position will increasingly assist with professional responsibilities. The primary responsibility of this position currently is to oversee the safety and health of the children: • Logistics – doctor appointments, kid’s activities, travel, school, pet appointments, travel, assist in professional related appointments. • Calendaring – we have multiple google calendars. The person in this role must be willing to drive and know how to plan errand and pick-up loops. “Calendaring” and everything related to competent time management is crucial in this role. • Errands & shopping – dry cleaning, returns, cobbler, food shopping, etc. • Procurement & organization –kid’s clothes, packing for special trips, organizing for professional projects. Helping children go between various households and travel. • Delegation & supervising – vendors (window washers, landscapers, plumbers, electricians, etc), supervising kid’s chores While the households run differently, having someone oversee and understand the systems in both houses increases our productivity and joy. Ideally, the person in this job might also show an interest in real estate management. Personality of candidate– both parents work from their respective homes, so discretion is necessary. The person in this role must demonstrate the following skills and qualities: • Delegate – to kids and vendors • Reliable – this person must be on time, and reliable. • Leadership – we want someone who is a good role model to the kids, and who has a positive energy for our homes and businesses. • Communication – it is crucial that this person is a clear, succinct communicator with a kind heart. • Organization and Planning – crucial to every aspect of this role. Requirements: • 3-5 years of previous house manager and/or nanny experience • Native English speaker • U.S. Citizen • Own personal vehicle with valid driver’s license and insurance • Proficient smart phone owner and operator • Computer savvy • 1-year commitment required -- possibilities to grow with the position for long-term career opportunities with family or one of our companies. Compensation to commensurate with experience, $40,000-50,000 with full corporate benefits package including: 401(K), medical insurance, life and disability insurance, and various bonus structures.
