Commercial Carpenter Job Description: Position: Commercial Carpenter Location: Denver, CO Hourly position, Full Time, Non - Exempt Commercial Carpenter is a full-time, non-exempt position. This individual will be responsible for following blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of the project and client. Job tasks may include site cleanup, supervision of various trades on job sites and physical job-related tasks, such as demolition, installation of backing, installation of commercial doors and frames, installation of other structures and fixtures. Necessary Skills and Responsibilities: Must be able to work 40+ hours per week Must have knowledge of and ability to use necessary hand tools Ability to read building specifications and blueprints Must have reliable transportation to job sites as well as the ability to haul materials as needed Must be able to lift and carry items weighing approximately 90 lbs., climb and work ladders, bend, stoop, and work around dust and fumes Preemployment background check, drug screening and motor vehicle record check Ability to measure, cut, or shape wood, plastic, and other materials Demonstrate the ability to problem solve in a fast-moving role Must be highly motivated and driven Ability to manage time effectively Team oriented mentality Ability to prioritize safe work practices on job sites and to ensure subcontractors are working safely.
