The Governor’s Points of Light Awards program is Nevada’s signature event that celebrates the inspiring stories of extraordinary individuals, students culled from higher education, non-profit organizations, and corporate partners who invest in our State. Collectively, through this event, we recognize those who generously donate their time and talents to invest in Nevada’s youth, seniors, military families, and who influence a vibrant future for all Nevadans. The Governor’s Points of Light is the highest honor bestowed by Nevada's Governor and Nevada Volunteers to celebrate the individuals and organizations who model Nevada values of service, responsibility, cooperation and compassion, and the power of partnership that makes Nevada a better place to live. Finalists will be recognized at a bronze, silver or gold level. This year marks the 20th Anniversary of the Governor’s Points of Light Awards. Our vision is to create an unequaled and memorable experience for honorees, their families and friends, and the stakeholders who support volunteerism and service.
