Join Pima County Natural Resources, Parks, and Recreation for a volunteer trail maintenance event on Explorer Trail! We'll spend the morning doing tread and erosion work to get the trails in good shape as the monsoon rolls in. The plan is to work Explorer between the Ledge Surfer and Sunset Pass intersections. No trail maintenance experience is necessary. Pima County NRPR will provide tools and work gloves. PLEASE NOTE: While we are meeting at Rodolfo's Taco Shop (NE corner of Ajo and La Cholla) at 7:00 AM, we will be hiking in from the 4' culvert where Ledge Surfer crosses under Ajo Way. Please show up by 7 so as not to miss the carpool/caravan over to the hike in point. Volunteers need to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, and bring water (min. 3 liters), snacks, and sun protection. Long sleeves and hats are strongly recommended! Questions?
