Description
These two fur babies are looking for a foster or their furever home. They were abandoned by their owner and are domestic abuse survivors. I am unable to take care of them long term (severely allergic and moving out of state) and all shelters have waitlists for surrenders. I am NOT seeking a rehoming fee.
Sage (tan) is a male and estimated about six months old. We do not have shot records and he is not neutered. He is playful and definitely has puppy energy. He responds well to verbal commands and is good on a leash. He is 60% potty trained (occasional accidents in crate during the day and excitement pee) and crate trained. He’s a good boy who just needs some love and structure.
Basil (black with white markings) is a female estimated to be a year old. Once again we do not have shot records, but she is spayed. She is slower to warm up than Sage but is a very sweet girl once she does. She is a soft toys worst nightmare and will need the tough chew toys! She is fully potty trained, responds to verbal commands and we are working on leash behaviors (sometimes gets excited and pulls.) Crate trained.
Due to age, I believe they would be fine to be adopted separately. They are friendly toward other dogs (although sage did get put in his place by a Yorkie today and hid behind me!) We are not sure how they are with children so best to play it safe until they have more behavioral training. They are good doggos who simply did not have the proper love, care and structure.
Please message me if you are interested in either becoming their foster until they can be surrendered to a shelter, or if you’d like to make one (or both) a member of your family. They would do great with a fenced yard and room to zoom!
