EIN: 23-1613599Our MissionThe West Chester Area Day Care Center is a non-profit childcare program that provides a quality, early childhood education program that promotes the development of children emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically in a safe and nurturing environment. We offer all parents affordable childcare with special emphasis on those with the greatest financial need. About the CenterWe focus our enrollment on low-income families in Chester County, including many families from shelters, by not imposing any cap for the number of children on subsidies. Unlike many private centers, we do not charge subsidized families the difference between our rate and what we are reimbursed. We offer scholarships to families in crisis and keep our rates low for those who may not qualify for subsidized care. The Center emphasizes quality care for the entire low-income population. Because these families are more susceptible to substandard services, we strive to break that cycle. Families in need or in financial crisis are our highest priorities. Our organization provides a solid, early educational foundation for children by implementing a developmentally-appropriate year-round curriculum for children aged six weeks through kindergarten. We also provide before and after school care for school-age children up to 12 years old. We address the nutritional needs of every child in our care during these crucial years of early development by providing a free, nutritionally balanced breakfast, lunch, and snack including formula for our infants. Every single child eats for free and eats well. Our multicultural center employs experienced, educated teachers. We provide all of the children, especially those at-risk, with the early educational foundation needed for building their future learning and increasing their potential for success in school.
