I (F) had just walked back inside and was jamming to Gentleman’s Crow and sipping my latte by the right balcony, you (M) walked up the ramp to the corner and took a video of the room, pausing on a guy who was passed out in the seats below us. I looked down at the guy then smiled at you “do you know him?” I asked. “No,” you said and smiled. Brown eyes. I leaned in so you might hear me over the music “he’s been like that for hours”
“Really?”
You had those kind eyes, and I wanted to ask for your name, but waited a beat too long, and you turned and walked until you got backstage. I kept watching that entrance, but you didn’t come back out. I always miss my chance with these things, but I hope you’re having fun on tour with one of the bands instead of somewhere I could find you. Thanks for making me believe I can meet someone again.
