Description
Beer Training is a great place to start your beer journey and is a safe space for learning about beer! Want to establish a better base for Beer Styles and increase your #BeerIQ? You should consider joining our Weekly Beer Training Sessions, where we'll work hard on beer ingredients, flavor, aroma, key descriptions and how to articulate them to a group of your peers. We'll write both short & long descriptions for unknown beers, identify, compare & contrast beer styles that are similar and correctly identify up to six unknown, but classic beer styles. We may spike beers, discuss the certain flavors & characteristics caused by the spikes and how to prevent them from occurring, and in what styles particular beer flavors may be appropriate. Overall, if you're looking to deepen your beer knowledge, begin a beer certification or education program or are just entering the industry, this is a great place to start and is a safe space for learning beer. Please note that we'll be operating under modified circumstances, due to the current global health situation and our need to be extra cautious. Please wear a mask to and from any of our events. Once you have chosen your table and are seated, you may remove your mask. If you need to get up for any reason, please wear your mask. All of our events will be capped at 16 people, until everyone has been vaccinated and it is safe to be within six feet of one another, for long periods of time. All of our events will allow for only one person to be seated at each table. Our event space will open 10 minutes prior to any event and will close 10 minutes after each event. We can not allow for lingering at this time. We will be using compostable, recyclable cups for each event. We will not be reusing any cups throughout our sessions. We ask that you keep all cups at your table until the end of the session, at which time we will collect and dispose of them. All tables and stations will be sanitized after and before each event. Both doors will be left open during any event in order to minimize contact with door knobs and handles. Thank you for your understanding and for allowing us to get back to teaching, training, and learning about beer. We look forward to seeing you at an event or session, soon! *The Society of Master Beercierge is located on the lower level of 85 Leonard Street, underneath The Wellington Eatery, Belmont Books and Didriks, and just down teh hallway with the new location of Craft Beer Cellar - Belmont. If you enter through the back (at Belmont Books), take the stairs or elevator down one level, enter the door to the left and head down the hallway. If you enter through the front, head down the stairs and take the door straight ahead, down the long hallway, to our event space.*
