Description
Humboldt County Solar and Heating company is hiring a Warehouse Coordinator. 32 to 40 hours a week. Our company provides year-round residential installations and service in a variety of home service trades including solar electric, battery storage, generators, heat pumps, radiant floor heating, furnaces, heat pump water heaters, tankless water heaters and duct cleaning. We are looking for a hardworking, organized person knowledgeable of an efficient, productive Warehouse environment and the desire to learn about renewable energies The ideal candidate should be positive, passionate person who enjoy working in a team-centered environment. Position Summary: Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for playing a key role in assisting with job coordination and implementation including, but not limited to: development, evaluation and implementation of inventory systems, material/inventory acquisition and management, vehicle and tools maintenance coordination, and general Warehouse/Shop oversight. Manage job materials and inventory: • Maintain accurate data on all material inventory—both in the shop and Company Vans. • Asist with the design, maintenance and refinement of inventory management systems and tools such as the inventory database, shelf stock organization, pull sheet processing, material code development and other related duties. Support accurate job costing by providing the bookkeeper with accurate and timely material costs reports • Develop, maintains and continuously refine processes for efficient and automated ordering and accurate material costing • Provide a detailed and high level of attention to material acquisition and allocation through all stages of processing-- ordering, delivery intake, inventory acquisition, data management, job allocation, restocking, and vendor relations • Assist with delivering parts to field technicians should they require an item form the shop or local vendor. • Coordinate warranty claims and maintain positive vendor relations. Maintain a highly functioning and pleasant Warehouse/Shop environment by: • Establishing a weekly cleaning schedule including sweeping, removal of trash/recycling, bathroom service and washing laundry offsite at a local laundromat. • Continuously looking for ways to improve Shop organization to improve work efficiency. • Promoting a safe work space with regular safety assessments and improvements • Managing shop tool organization, cleanliness and by regularly maintaining tools to ensure proper working order (i.e. charge batteries, lube machinery) • Providing support to field technicians by assisting them with material research and job tool development, assisting with methods for improving field support, and running parts to job site when necessary. • Maintain and charge electric fork lift • Tool tracking and maintenance Provide general company support by: • Maintaining a positive, respectful “can do” attitude • Being solution-based-- looking for creative solutions to challenges • Practicing self-accountability while working in a team-centered environment • Assisting with other duties, as assigned and necessary for the success of the company as whole. A passionate interest for renewable energies and energy efficiency technologies Ability to follow directions and ask questions when necessary Exceptional organizational and recording skills Demonstrated oral and written communication skills Ability to address time management, prioritization and manage stress under deadlines Computer skills including experience working with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
