RedesignKC, one of Kansas City's premier remodeling companies, is seeking a full-time Carpenter Apprentice/Laborer to join our awesome team. Initially (first 90 days), this position will be on a 1099 independent contractor basis. RedesignKC requires a background check prior to extending any offer to qualified individuals. Duties will include: • Assisting equipment operators, journeyman carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary. • Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards. • Load or unload construction materials. • Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding. • Remove, fill, or compact earth. • Follow instructions from supervisors. • Assist craft workers. • Maintain safe work environment. • Perform site clean-up. Required Qualifications/Skills: • Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to take direction and execute on directions. • Must have a valid driver's license. • Must have reliable transportation. • Be at least 18 years of age. • Authorized to work in the United States. • Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks. • Familiarity with common power and hand tools. • Ability to safely operate power tools. • Ability to work in all weather. • Must be punctual and reliable. • Must have experience as a general laborer in the construction industry. • Carpentry experience a plus.
