I am a singer looking for a project, likely with one musician, at least at first, with the idea of expansion if we vibe. I have a gritty soulful voice and I have covered a wide variety of music in the past, but am specifically looking for someone who is into Americana/Cowpunk, fused with a dash of punk, funk, folk and soul. I can play a few instruments but want to start with my voice and see what we come up with. Could add to it as we go and find our sound. The hope is to do a fusion of originals and covers, with our own unique take on it that we will develop together. I'm not opposed to doing some classics, as I am used to performing the hits. So I'd assume we'd start with covers to see how we jam and what songs work for us and then explore our own sound to see if together we'd be able to create something of our own. Have lots of connections with venues locally so eventually would like to play out here and there, but absolutely no expectations for when that might be. I am inspired by bands like Devil Makes 3, Steeldrivers, Skynyrd, Rev Horton Heat, Hank the third, all the Hanks actually, Shooter Jennings, Parliment, Supersuckers, Black Keys, Johnny Cash, CCR, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Grateful Dead, Social Distortion, Yonder Mountain String Band, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Sublime, QOTSA, White Stripes, Transplants, Bosstones, CTE, and so much more.
