Description
Couldn't agree more with the "Designer Dog" post calling out the shameful practice of breeding dogs to sell on craigslist.
With shelters overcrowded, Animal Rescues overcrowded and plenty more strays, abandoned and abused animals, it is a truly heartless and selfish thing to do. Bringing more animals into the community and charging ridiculous amounts of money, furthering the "glamour appeal" of owning a specific breed of dog. Shame on them, there are thousands of dogs in shelters who are going to be put to death, each dog bred and sold contributes directly to the killing of shelter dogs.
Same goes for other animal breeders. Cats, birds, reptiles and more.
And it's against craigslist policies, if it continues, it may jeopardize the use of craigslist for getting animals adopted completely.
We are supposed to be the animals caretakers, not exploiters. There is a big difference.
