Sexton is responsible for the routine cleaning of the building and outdoor care of the lawn and sidewalks under the supervision of the priest.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Vacuum and dust offices, hallways, stairs, church, parish hall, classrooms and all common areas.
Clean bathrooms.
Clean window sills, countertops, furnishings.
Empty wastebaskets throughout the building.
Maintain adequate supplies in bathrooms.
Mop and wax floors.
Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners.
Notify priest or office administrator concerning need for major repairs.
Remove snow from sidewalks, driveway, and parking areas using snow plow, snow blower, and snow shovels.
Maintain cleanliness of the exterior of the building including removing debris from the sidewalks, and property.
Set up and arrange tables and chairs for events and meetings.
Use insecticides and fumigants to prevent rodent and insect infestation.
Minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs and filters etc.
Wearing proper personal protective equipment.
Be available for overtime work as needed.
Authorized to work in the US and pass background check.
Able to speak and read English.
