Photographer here: if you’re a musician or band (or other) who write and perform some or all of your own material, I’d be interested in doing some photography with you. Photos for publicity, posters and flyers, album art/images, live gigs, etc. I am located in central/west NH, and willing to do a little traveling. Right now I am not looking to charge much (maybe not at all, seriously!) as this is a new photo-subject for me, and so the first few I’ll work with, while I get myself a little more acclimated, are likely going to get it for free. You get some free images to use, and I get some free images for my portfolio, is how this works. That’s pretty much the fine print. I love music and the arts, and have spent enough time around bands to get how much work goes in to your music. And I don’t care what genre you’re in to, from a classical pianist/violinist, C&W, R&R, bluegrass, alternative, R&B, techno, it’s all good. I am not looking to work with gangsta-rappers or cover bands, sorry. Not in to 420 or partying either. Writing and performing at least some of your own stuff is required, unless you’re entirely in to classical and have spent years training as such. I will work with anyone who is a solo, serious classical musician, no matter who’s work you like to play. I have years of photography experience with other types of subjects, including on-location portraits, and I have always been interested in doing this sort of thing for people who perform. I get how hard you work. I get the hours of rehearsals and being your own roadies and all the things you have to do to make it happen. And I know how tough it can be to self-fund. If I get a lot of response to this, this ad won’t be posted for long. So if you’re interested, don’t wait or think it over for long.
