The Friends of Pipe Creek Watershed and the City of Sandusky Recreation Department want to share an opportunity to experience Pipe Creek by paddling! This event is open to the public from beginner to experienced paddler. For beginners, the City of Sandusky Recreation Department will provide kayaks and lead small groups just offshore with trained instructors. The Friends of Pipe Creek Watershed will lead a guided trip up the creek to a wetland restoration site for experienced paddlers. Root beer floats will also be available throughout the event. You can come to paddle or just grab a refreshment and enjoy the evening on shore. Registration is required to reserve a boat for one of the paddling groups. Participants are welcome to bring their own boat and do not need to register. If you are bringing your own boat, we encourage you to come 30 minutes early to unload your boat and gear.
