Whoof on the Wharf is teaming up with Grey Wind Alaskan Malamutes and Sarah Vargo Kellner, owner of the Yoga Army, to bring you an hour and a half of yoga, stretching and decompressing with nine super fluffy, roly-poly 8-week-old Malamute puppies! Help these little ones socialize while getting in some long overdue socialization of your own, in a beautiful setting right by the water. Think yoga, but a little more relaxed and chill, with plenty of stress-relieving breaks to pet these adorable fluffballs. Whether or not you practice yoga at the moment, puppy yoga is a great way to get a feel for the practice. Get ready for some positive puppy energy! Our Yoga Instructor for the evening is Sarah Vargo Kellner, owner of the Yoga Army. She teaches private one on one sessions, backyard yoga, and group classes for many gyms in the area, as well as different high school sports teams in the Anne Arundel County Public School System and Worcester County. She has been teaching yoga for over 7 years and has crafted a unique calming style suitable for any age and any level of flexibility that her clients may have. Her soothing voice, perfect descriptions, cues, and modeling during classes helps you connect more with your body and mind. She believes that yoga is a great way to calm the nervous system, release anxiety and stress, know yourself and learn what your body needs. She is excited to bring her style to Whoof of the Warf for many classes to come! ***Note for this class, other dogs are not invited this time so that the curious pups are free to roam the room and socialize. Thanks to Kirsti (owner of Grey Wind Malamutes) and Sarah (owner of the Yoga Army) for sharing their passions with us, as we organize more activities for those who love to enjoy time with their pets and enhance their wellness. And, so that we can share the love with other pups in addition to these little ones, a portion of the proceeds for this event will go to charity, so this is a triple dose of feel good.
