COUGAR CONTRACTING LLC has an immediate need for CONSTRUCTION LABORER. This position is an entry level position that can be useful in learning more about civil construction prior to attaining a more skilled position. The work assignment will be in North Naples for approximately 2 weeks and then will move to a longer term assignment in Punta Gorda. Responsibilities: - Responsible for most of the manual physical labor performed on the job. - Will receive direction and must follow instructions given by Foreman, Superintendents or Project Manager. - Will be expected to cooperate and work productively with all other employees. - Safely and effectively assist other positions with various tasks – retrieving material, signaling operators, setting wood/steel poles, load/unload/clean trucks, shovel sand, dirt, and stone, loading, unloading, sorting, and organizing materials, general site cleanup etc. - Must comply with all company safety and personnel policies - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requirements: - Must have reliable means of arriving and leaving from work at scheduled start and stop times. - Must be able to work Monday through Friday and Saturday when necessary. - Must arrive to work by scheduled start time and be willing to travel to all job sites without exception. - Experience on a construction site is a plus. - Able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis. - Ability to work up to an average of an 8-10 hour shift in all weather and temperature extremes. - Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
