Description

This event is brought to you through grant funding and contributions of: Makersville, the Arts Council of Long Beach and the City of Long Beach. S.T.E.A.M. education is the most inclusive form of education. It's not easy, but some teachers are implementing S.T.E.A.M. in the formal classrooms, and in the informal classrooms. There are many challenges to implementing S.T.E.A.M. education, particularly in full classes of students! Some of our teachers have addressed this! Summer 2022 Lineup 10:30 and 12:45 sessions: One of our scheduled instructors will share their projects. Paula Tsoiasue - Paula is an informal educator working in Math and Sciences. Paula instructs in classes (within and without Makersville) and mentors several students with one-on-one and small group formats. Sylvia Sances - Sylvia is a Special Needs teacher. She will share her challenges. Margaret Padilla - A computer Science Teacher at a public school in San Bernardino County, Margaret teaches 6th grade Computer Science (programming/robotics hybrid) to her students providing them with 3 language options and a number of options for Robotics platforms. How does she do this? It's not easy! Our monthly meeting is scheduled for the 3rd Saturday. At the 2:00 PM to 4:PM session, Squigglemom, Trish Tsoiasue will host a Teacher Share, where you can present your projects to the group.
