Description

Route 66 has been an iconic slice of the American story since it was first designated in November 1926. Dubbed the Mother Road by writer John Steinbeck, the highway that inspired songs, books and a glorified vision of the vast American landscape will soon be celebrating its 100th year anniversary. The Blue Whale in Catoosa, OK is one of Route 66’s most seminal landmarks and the City of Catoosa has embarked on a renewed effort to enhance and protect this beloved beacon of blue. Join us on July 22nd from 6pm – 8pm for an incredible evening of food, fun and celebration as the City of Catoosa launches its campaign to prepare both the Blue Whale and the City of Catoosa for global attention. Food will be provided by Chef William Lyle of Tulsa’s storied Summit restaurant and club. We will also feature a variety of America Solera beers, international wines and non-alcoholic beverages.
